MRF Bets ₹5,300 Cr on Tamil Nadu Expansion

has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a greenfield manufacturing facility for automotive tyres and allied products at SIPCOT Industrial Park in Sivaganga district. The proposed project involves an estimated investment of ₹5,300 crore, to be deployed over a 12-year period, and is expected to generate direct employment for around 1,000 people. The agreement, executed through the state’s nodal agency Guidance, remains subject to key conditions including approval of a customised incentive package, land allocation.
