NCC Bags ₹6,829 Crore Mining Contract from Central Coalfields

has secured a massive ₹6,828.94 crore contract from Central Coalfields Limited for coal and overburden extraction and transportation at the Amrapali Opencast Project in Jharkhand’s Chandragupt Area. The project covers the removal of 413.59 million cubic metres of overburden, extraction of 233.33 million tonnes of coal, and transportation to the Shivpur siding and surface stockyard, including wagon loading of 139.99 million tonnes. The contract will be executed over 2,915 days—comprising a 360-day development phase followed by seven years of production. NCC confirmed that the order is from a domestic entity with no related-party involvement, marking another significant milestone in the company’s mining and infrastructure portfolio.
