NCC Wins ₹1,237 Crore of Fresh Orders in December

NCC
announced it secured four new orders in December with an aggregate value of ₹1,237.24 crore (excluding GST), reflecting steady deal flow in its core infrastructure contracting business. The order intake was split between buildings worth ₹704.67 crore and transportation projects worth ₹532.57 crore, with the company clarifying these wins were received in the normal course of business and exclude internal contracts. The update follows a larger letter of acceptance received in the prior month for ₹2,062.71 crore from Assam’s Public Works (Health & Education) Department to expand and modernise Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in Guwahati. Despite the order momentum, NCC shares closed at ₹160.38 on December 31, down 3.47% on the NSE. Operationally, the company’s most recently cited quarterly performance remained weak: for Q2 ended September 30, revenue declined 12.6% year-on-year to ₹4,543 crore and EBITDA fell 11.5% to ₹394 crore. However, EBITDA margin improved by 20 basis points to 8.7%, indicating some resilience in profitability even as topline growth moderated.
