NLC India Rises 3% After Winning Strategic Mineral Blocks and Strong Q4 Performance

NLCINDIA
shares rose 3.32% to ₹246.35 after the company was declared the preferred bidder for two key phosphorite and limestone blocks, Semhardih and Raipura in Balod, Chhattisgarh, through the Ministry of Mines' e-auction held on May 15–16. This comes shortly after NLC signed a Power Purchase Agreement for an 810 MW solar project with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd and an MoU with IREL (India) Ltd. On the earnings front, NLC reported a sharp 323% YoY jump in Q4 net profit to ₹482 crore, up from ₹114 crore last year. Revenue rose 8.3% YoY to ₹3,836 crore, and EBITDA grew 43%. While the stock has remained flat in 2025 so far, these recent developments highlight the company’s focus on both strategic mineral expansion and clean energy growth.
