NMDC Reports Strong June Performance with 44% Jump in Iron Ore Production
NMDC Ltd. delivered a strong operational performance in June, with iron ore production rising 44.3% year-on-year to 5.15 million tonnes (MT), while sales increased 11.2% to 3.98 MT. On a month-on-month basis, production eased 3% from 5.31 MT in May and sales slipped 1.5% from 4.04 MT, indicating a marginal sequential moderation. Chhattisgarh remained the company's key production hub, where output surged from 2.28 MT to 3.58 MT, while sales increased from 2.34 MT to 2.79 MT. In Karnataka, production improved from 1.29 MT to 1.57 MT, although sales declined slightly from 1.24 MT to 1.19 MT. The operational update follows a strong Q4 FY26 performance, where consolidated net profit grew 36% year-on-year to ₹2,017.6 crore, and revenue from operations jumped 61.9% to ₹11,343.1 crore from ₹7,004.6 crore, supported by stronger contributions from the company's iron ore and steel-related businesses.
