and NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) have signed major agreements with the Chhattisgarh government, committing ₹96,000 crore to develop nuclear, hydro, and renewable energy projects. The largest initiative is a 4,200 MW nuclear power project with an ₹80,000 crore investment. Additionally, ₹5,876 crore will be allocated to a 1,200 MW pumped hydro storage project, while NGEL and CSPGCL will develop 2 GW of renewable energy projects with a ₹10,000 crore investment, supporting the state’s Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO).
On the financial front, NTPC posted a Q3FY25 net profit of ₹4,711.4 crore, marking a 3.1% YoY growth, though slightly below estimates. Revenue increased 4.8% YoY to ₹41,352.3 crore, while EBITDA surged 20.3% YoY to ₹11,960.6 crore. With these strategic investments, NTPC is reinforcing its leadership in India's energy transition, accelerating growth in sustainable power solutions.
