NTPC Strengthens Green Push with 100 MW Solar Commissioning at Ramagundam

NTPC
has successfully commissioned 100 MW of solar capacity from its 176 MW Solar PV project at Ramagundam, Telangana, with commercial operations effective from May 2, 2026. This addition has increased NTPC’s total installed capacity to around 89,805 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at approximately 88,725 MW, reinforcing its scale and execution capability in the renewable segment. The Ramagundam project, already known for housing one of India’s largest floating solar installations of 100 MW, reflects NTPC’s strategic shift towards cleaner energy sources while optimizing existing infrastructure. This milestone aligns with the company’s broader ambition to significantly scale its renewable portfolio and improve sustainability metrics, positioning it as a key player in India’s energy transition without compromising on capacity growth.
