Paytm Restructures Investments and Exits Real-Money Gaming

PAYTM
has approved investments worth ₹455 crore — ₹300 crore in Paytm Money to strengthen its wealth and investment platform, and ₹155 crore in Paytm Services. The company is also consolidating Foster Payment and First Games to simplify its structure. Importantly, First Games has exited real-money gaming after the new Online Gaming Act, 2025, and will now only focus on casual/social games. The move shows Paytm is focusing on its core financial services while reducing exposure to high-risk, heavily regulated areas like real-money gaming. This could bring more regulatory clarity and better capital efficiency in the long term.
