Premier Energies Expands Clean Energy Footprint with 11.1 GW Solar Module Capacity and Battery Storage Entry
Premier Energies Ltd has significantly strengthened its clean energy manufacturing capabilities by commissioning a new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Telangana, doubling its total solar module capacity to 11.1 GW. Spread across 75 acres in Rangareddy district, the new campus is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs once fully operational.
Alongside this expansion, the company has entered the battery energy storage segment by laying the foundation for a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant and an aluminium frames manufacturing unit with an annual production capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes.
The new facility incorporates advanced G12R Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technology, India's first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, automated guided vehicle (AGV)-based material handling, and artificial intelligence-powered quality inspection systems, enabling the production of one solar module every four seconds.
With these investments, Premier Energies is expanding beyond solar module manufacturing into energy storage and backward integration, strengthening its supply chain while building a more technology-driven and integrated clean energy manufacturing platform to support the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in India.
