RailTel Hit by Cancellation of Bihar Education Projects

RailTel Corporation of India (

) has disclosed the cancellation of multiple Bihar education-related contracts with a combined order value of about ₹609.56 crore, triggering renewed focus on the stock. These projects were awarded by the Bihar Education Project Council and covered digital and learning infrastructure in government schools. ​ The cancellations include a smart classroom project for government middle schools valued at ₹262.14 crore, where the customer withdrew the work order citing “unavoidable reasons.” Additionally, an order worth ₹89.92 crore for supplying teaching and learning material for Classes I to V has been terminated, along with another Letter of Acceptance and work order for a separate project amounting to ₹257.50 crore.
