Corporation of India said it has received a ₹148.4 crore work order from the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India, for comprehensive maintenance of the government body’s IT infrastructure. The scope includes annual maintenance for servers, storage systems, network and network-security equipment, along with software licence renewals.
The company stated the contract is scheduled to run until December 21, 2030, indicating a multi-year services engagement rather than a one-time supply order. RailTel also disclosed that the formal work order was received on December 15 from a domestic entity.
CNBC-TV18 reported that RailTel has been expanding beyond railway telecom into e-governance and IT infrastructure services, and highlighted other recent wins including a ₹48.78 crore order from MMRDA and a ₹63.92 crore ICT implementation order from CPWD. In its September-quarter results cited in the report, RailTel posted net profit of ₹76 crore (up from ₹73 crore a year earlier) and revenue of ₹951.3 crore, with EBITDA of ₹154.4 crore and an EBITDA margin of 16.2%. The article also noted the stock was trading around ₹334.85 on NSE during the session referenced, and said the share price had declined 22.58% over the prior six months.
