RELIANCE
has officially stopped importing Russian crude into its special-economic-zone (SEZ) refinery at Jamnagar with effect from November 20, as part of its move to comply with Western sanctions. The company says that from December 1, all its export-refined products will be produced exclusively from non-Russian oil.
This shift comes ahead of tighter EU and U.S. curbs on refined fuels derived from Russian crude, which kick in from January 2026. Reliance has reaffirmed its commitment to full compliance while relying on its diversified crude-sourcing strategy to maintain stable operations a smart recalibration in the face of geopolitics.
