Shakti Pumps Wins ₹353.89 Crore Solar Pump Order to Boost Rural Irrigation in Maharashtra
Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd has secured a significant order after receiving a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply 15,000 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. The project, valued at ₹353.89 crore (including GST) and ₹324.96 crore (excluding GST), covers the supply of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
The scope of work includes the design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the systems, with execution scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or Notice to Proceed (NTP). Awarded by a domestic entity, this order strengthens Shakti Pumps' position in India's fast-growing solar irrigation market and reflects the increasing adoption of renewable energy solutions to improve agricultural productivity and support sustainable farming initiatives.
