SHYAMMETL
has announced an ambitious ₹10,000 crore investment plan under its Vision 2031 roadmap, aiming to more than double its revenue to ₹40,000 crore and expand production capacity from 15 million tonnes to 27 million tonnes over the next seven years. The company plans to fund this largely through internal accruals while strengthening its presence in high-value segments like defence, infrastructure, engineering, and railways.
The expansion will focus on specialty steel, stainless steel, flat products, and aluminium, supported by downstream integration, technology advancement, and energy efficiency. SMEL expects EBITDA margins to improve by 200–300 basis points due to operating leverage and a premium product mix. Additionally, the plan is set to generate around 10,000 new jobs and double export revenues to $300 million, reinforcing the company’s position as a key player in India’s evolving metals and energy landscape.
