Solar Industries Secures ₹158 Cr Defence Contract

SOLARINDS
has won a ₹158 crore order from the Ministry of Defence, to be executed over the next 12 months. This deal adds to its growing presence in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem, placing it alongside names like Bharat Forge and ideaForge that also secured MoD contracts in the same session. On the fundamentals, the company delivered a solid Q4 performance — net profit rose 43.4% YoY to ₹346 crore, revenue increased 34.5% to ₹2,166.6 crore, and EBITDA surged 52.6% to ₹539.7 crore, with margins improving to 25% from 22% last year. The promoter group retains a ~75% stake, reflecting continued skin-in-the-game. Solar’s transformation from a ₹1,000 crore market cap business at IPO to over ₹1.5 lakh crore today has been driven by disciplined capital allocation, consistent reinvestment, and strategic diversification — notably its early, conviction-led entry into defence. With strong execution capabilities and clean governance, the company remains structurally well-placed for long-term growth. Follow me for more such trade ideas, Thank You!
