Suzlon Secures 201.6 MW Wind Power Order, Strengthening Its Renewable Energy Leadership
Suzlon Energy Ltd has secured a new 201.6 MW wind power project from Waaree Forever Energies Pvt. Ltd. (WFEPL), marking Waaree Group's first investment in the wind energy segment and reinforcing Suzlon's leadership in India's renewable energy sector. As part of the project, Suzlon will supply and install 64 units of its flagship S144 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW, at a site in Andhra Pradesh.
The company will execute the project under its integrated Development Company (DevCo) EPC model, handling the entire value chain, including land acquisition, turbine supply, Balance of Plant (BoP) works, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance services. This is Suzlon's second consecutive DevCo-led EPC order within a week, reflecting the industry's growing preference for end-to-end project execution partners that can reduce development risks and improve project efficiency.
With this latest order, Suzlon's total order book in Andhra Pradesh has increased to nearly 1 GW, highlighting the state's growing importance in India's renewable energy expansion and supporting the company's long-term growth in the clean energy market.
