Suzlon Secures 400 MW Order from Tata Power, Strengthening Its Renewable Energy Leadership
Suzlon Energy Ltd. ($SUZLON) has secured a significant 400 MW engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), taking the cumulative renewable energy partnership between the two companies beyond 1 GW across four states. The project, which will be developed in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district, marks Suzlon’s fourth order from TPREL and the second repeat order received within the last 12 months, highlighting continued customer confidence in the company’s execution capabilities. Under the project, Suzlon will supply 127 units of its S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, while also handling land acquisition, turbine installation, balance of plant (BoP), pooling substation (PSS), extra-high voltage (EHV) transmission infrastructure, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance services. The order has been awarded under Suzlon’s newly launched Development Company (DevCo) business model, which integrates project development and execution. With this win, Suzlon’s order book in Anantapur has reached nearly 1 GW, while its installed capacity in Andhra Pradesh stands at 1.8 GW, representing 28.44% of its total installed capacity across South India. The order further strengthens Suzlon’s position in India’s renewable energy sector and reflects the growing demand for integrated EPC solutions as the country accelerates its clean energy transition.
