TCS–AMD Alliance Targets Scaled Enterprise AI Adoption

) has entered a strategic partnership with US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to help large enterprises move AI from small pilots to production-grade, scaled deployments and to modernise legacy IT estates. The collaboration combines TCS’s systems integration and domain expertise with AMD’s high-performance CPUs, GPUs, AI accelerators and embedded computing portfolio across hybrid cloud, edge and workplace environments. Under the tie-up, TCS will integrate AMD Ryzen-powered client solutions for digital workplace transformation and deploy AMD EPYC processors, Instinct GPUs and AI accelerators to enhance cloud and high-performance computing platforms. AMD’s adaptive system-on-chips and FPGAs will support industrial edge use cases and broader operational digitalisation. Both firms plan to co-develop sector-specific generative AI frameworks for life sciences, manufacturing and financial services, targeting applications such as drug discovery, smart manufacturing and intelligent risk management. TCS will also invest in building a specialised talent pool by upskilling and certifying its workforce on AMD’s latest hardware and software platforms, with joint funding from both companies. The announcement follows TCS disclosing that AI-related services have reached over 1.5 billion dollars in annualised revenue, representing nearly 5 percent of total revenue in Q3, with AI growing 16.3 percent sequentially and 38.2 percent year-on-year in constant currency.
