Trent’s Subsidiary Booker India Acquires TSSL for ₹166.36 Crore to Strengthen Logistics

subsidiary, Booker India, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in THPL Support Services Ltd (TSSL) from Trent Hypermarket for ₹166.36 crore. TSSL, incorporated in 1992, operates in warehousing and related services, reporting a turnover of ₹42.35 crore as of March 31, 2024. The deal, categorized as a related-party transaction, aims to consolidate operations within the Tata Group’s retail segment and is set for completion by March 31, 2025. Trent also posted strong Q3 results, with revenue rising 35% YoY to ₹4,656 crore, in line with estimates, while net profit grew 34% YoY to ₹496.1 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹840 crore, maintaining an 18.1% margin. However, fashion segment growth slowed to single digits from double-digit growth in previous quarters.
