ULTRACEMCO
has successfully commissioned its second cement grinding mill at the Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh, adding 1.8 mtpa to its production capacity. This takes its total domestic grey cement capacity to 186.86 mtpa and global capacity, including overseas operations, to 192.26 mtpa.
The first unit at Maihar went live in March 2025, highlighting strong execution on its expansion roadmap. From a sector perspective, this move reinforces UltraTech’s leadership amid rising infrastructure demand and a supportive policy environment.
While capacity additions are a long-term positive, investors should watch utilisation trends and pricing dynamics, especially in the central region, to gauge the near-term earnings impact.
