Waaree Energies Accelerates India’s Solar Manufacturing Push with 3,000 MW Expansion

WAAREEENER
has strengthened its position in India’s renewable energy space by commissioning a 3,000 MW (3 GW) solar module manufacturing facility in Samakhiali, Kutch (Gujarat) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sangam Solar One Private Limited. The facility, which became operational on April 6, 2026, is built with four production lines of 750 MW each, significantly boosting the company’s annual manufacturing capacity. This expansion marks a strategic step toward scaling domestic solar manufacturing, reducing import dependency, and aligning with India’s clean energy ambitions. Additionally, the company has been actively expanding its ecosystem with plans like a ₹3,900 crore glass manufacturing facility and continues to demonstrate strong financial momentum, including a 26% YoY rise in net profit to ₹1,062 crore in the December quarter. Overall, this development enhances Waaree’s competitive positioning in the solar value chain while supporting the increasing demand for renewable energy solutions in India.
