Waaree Energies has received an order to supply solar module
The modules will be supplied across FY2026-27 and FY2027-28. The customer and order value were not disclosed.
Waaree Energies Limited received the order on 21 September 2026. The contract is one-time in nature and covers the supply of 2 GW of solar modules over two financial years. The company said its promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in the customer, and the order is not a related party transaction.
For me, the key number is the 2 GW volume rather than the undisclosed order value. The two-year delivery schedule gives Waaree better revenue visibility, but the absence of pricing means the impact on revenue and margins cannot yet be quantified. I would also avoid treating the full 2 GW as near-term revenue because execution is spread across two financial years.
The next trigger is the company disclosing the order value or giving more clarity on delivery schedules and module realisations. I would watch execution through FY2026-27, along with module prices and margins, before taking a stronger view on the earnings impact.
My stance is constructive on the order visibility, but I would wait for order value, execution updates and margin data before assigning a meaningful earnings impact.
