Wipro Accelerates Enterprise AI Strategy with New AI Centre in Bengaluru

Wipro Ltd ($WIPRO) has taken a significant step in strengthening its artificial intelligence capabilities by launching an Applied AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Anthropic’s Claude models at its Bengaluru innovation hub. The initiative, developed under Wipro’s newly established AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, is aimed at helping enterprises integrate AI into their core business operations and industry-specific workflows. As part of this strategy, Wipro plans to certify 10,000 frontline delivery professionals on Claude models over the next 18 months, creating a strong talent base to support AI implementation across global client environments. The company is also building a network of specialized Forward Deployed Engineers who will work closely with clients to accelerate AI adoption. The new centre will focus on developing AI-powered solutions for sectors such as healthcare, mortgage services, airlines, manufacturing and consumer businesses, while also deploying Claude models across Wipro’s internal finance, human resources and sales functions. By integrating these capabilities into its Wipro Intelligence platform, the company aims to enhance productivity, automate business processes and strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding enterprise AI market, reflecting the growing importance of AI-driven transformation across industries.
