has received Health Canada’s approval for its generic Mesalamine suppositories 1000 mg, used to treat mildly to moderately active ulcerative proctitis. The product will be manufactured at the company’s Changodar facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and targets a market with annual sales of CAD 4.86 million as of June 2025. This follows Zydus’ recent approval for Liothyronine tablets (5 mcg and 25 mcg), which serve the hypothyroidism segment with annual Canadian sales of CAD 10.9 million. With these regulatory clearances, Zydus continues to strengthen its North American generics footprint, backed by robust manufacturing and R&D capabilities across formulations, biosimilars, APIs, and vaccines.
