Zydus Lifesciences Expands US Presence with Exclusive Rights for BEIZRAY
Zydus Lifesciences has secured exclusive US rights for BEIZRAY (Albumin Solubilized Docetaxel Injection) through a licensing agreement with Zhuhai Beihai Biotech. Under this deal, Beihai Biotech will handle manufacturing, while Zydus will drive commercialization in the US. The agreement includes upfront payments, milestone-based incentives, and a profit-sharing model.
BEIZRAY, approved by the USFDA in October 2024, is an advanced formulation of Docetaxel without synthetic excipients, reducing adverse effects. It is used for treating breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, and head & neck cancer. With the US Docetaxel injection market consuming over 531,000 units annually, this collaboration strengthens Zydus’ oncology portfolio and reinforces its commitment to delivering innovative treatments to patients in need.
