ISGEC Strengthens Backlog with ₹197.25 Cr Boiler Supply and ESP Modernisation Deals

ISGEC Heavy Engineering has secured a ₹197.25 crore contract comprising two key orders: the supply of seven waste heat recovery boilers to a major eastern steel producer and the renovation of electrostatic precipitators at the 2×500 MW Chandrapur Thermal Power Station. Scope of Work Design, engineering, fabrication and supply of seven waste heat recovery boilers that utilize gases from DRI sponge iron kilns, generating steam at 125 kg/cm² pressure. Renovation and modernisation of electrostatic precipitators for Maharashtra State Power Generation Company’s 2×500 MW units at Chandrapur, including detailed engineering, site erection, testing and commissioning. All activities will be executed under ISGEC’s turnkey project model, ensuring end-to-end delivery from factory acceptance tests to on-site startup. Collaboration & Technology Licensing Alongside these orders, ISGEC signed a collaboration and licensing agreement with United Conveyor Corporation (USA) to bid and execute advanced ash-handling projects in India. This partnership expands ISGEC’s technology portfolio and strengthens its position in environmental control equipment. Strategic Significance for Investors These orders diversify ISGEC’s revenue mix across steel, power and pollution-control segments. Turnkey delivery contracts improve margin visibility versus standalone equipment sales. The UCC collaboration opens doors to high-value ash-handling projects, a growing niche under India’s clean-air mandate. Execution over the next 12–18 months should bolster order backlog and cash flow.
