ICICI BANK: BANKING STOCK HOLDS UP AS MKT REMAINS VOLATILE

ICICIBANK
I Bank is one of the Nifty 50 stocks worth watching on September 30 as the banking heavyweight showed strength while the broader index remained volatile. During today's session, ICICI Bank was among the stocks supporting the Nifty, alongside Reliance Industries, TCS, L&T, Kotak Mahindra Bank and SBI. The Nifty touched an intraday high of 22,737 before giving up some gains. The market backdrop remains challenging. Brent crude is still elevated near $103 per barrel, while foreign investors have continued to sell Indian equities. On the previous session, FIIs reportedly sold around ₹9,980 crore, while DIIs bought approximately ₹6,953 crore. For ICICI Bank, however, the key focus remains company-specific fundamentals. Loan growth, deposit mobilisation, net interest margin, asset quality and credit costs remain important indicators for tracking the bank's operating performance. **Technical setup:** Today's intraday high becomes the first reference level for a potential continuation. If the stock sustains above today's high with increasing volume, it could indicate continued buying interest. On the downside, today's opening and intraday support zone should be monitored. A break below this area could signal profit booking. **What I am watching:** • Today's high • Intraday support • Bank Nifty strength • Loan growth • Deposit growth • NIM trajectory • Asset quality • Volume confirmation ICICI Bank's relative strength while the broader market remains volatile makes it a stock worth tracking. The next confirmation should come from sustained price-volume action rather than a single-session move. I have no holding or financial interest in ICICI Bank Limited at the time of writing.
