Godrej Consumer Falls 10% as CEO Exit Triggers Selling; Diamond Power Hits 52-Week High

Indian equities witnessed sharp stock-specific moves on August 12, with management changes, order wins and quarterly results driving investor sentiment. Shares of Godrej Consumer Products fell around 10% after Sudhir Sitapati stepped down as Managing Director and CEO. The company appointed Aasif Malbari, currently Global CFO and President of Godrej Africa, as the new MD and CEO with immediate effect. The sudden leadership change triggered significant selling pressure in the stock. In contrast, Diamond Power Infrastructure surged to a 52-week high after securing two orders worth ₹195.48 crore from Rajesh Power Services. The orders involve supplying 11 kV medium-voltage underground power cables for PGVCL projects in Gujarat and are scheduled for execution over the next 12 months. The contrasting moves highlight how corporate developments and fresh order wins continue to drive significant volatility in individual stocks amid the ongoing June-quarter earnings season. $GODREJCP
