HPCL Leads Energy Stocks With 6.7% Dividend Yield

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) leads a comparison of energy and oil stocks with a 6.7% dividend yield for FY26, followed by ONGC at 5.7% and BPCL at 5.5%. The comparison highlights energy companies offering relatively high dividend yields amid renewed focus on the sector. According to data from SBI Securities, Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has a 5.1% dividend yield, while Castrol India stands at 4.7% and Indraprastha Gas (IGL) at 4.6%. Chennai Petroleum Corporation and Gulf Oil Lubricants India both have dividend yields of 4.5% for FY26. Among the companies compared, HPCL reported the highest dividend yield at 6.7%. ONGC stood at 5.7%, while BPCL and IOCL recorded yields of 5.5% and 5.1%, respectively. The data also shows that Castrol India announced ₹11.50 per share in dividends over the last 12 months, while IGL announced around ₹4.75 per share during the same period.
