Data Patterns Builds Visibility Beyond Defence Order Wins
Data Patterns (
DATAPATTNS
) reported Q1 FY27 revenue of ₹144 crore, with the company continuing to build its position across radar, avionics and defence electronics.
The more interesting part is the depth of its future revenue visibility. As of June 30, 2026, the company had an order book of ₹927.7 crore. Including negotiated orders awaiting formal receipt, the potential order book rises to approximately ₹2,654 crore, equivalent to around 2.3 years of revenue visibility at current run rates.
The order book is also becoming more diversified. AMC contracts account for 31.9%, radar systems 30%, and avionics 20.9%. Development work represents 45% of the backlog, while production and services account for 18% and 37% respectively.
The interesting question is therefore not simply how many defence orders Data Patterns wins, but how its growing development and maintenance base can translate into recurring production and service revenue.
