has announced an investment of ₹11,000 crore in phases to expand its Talegaon manufacturing facility in Pune.
The plant begins with an annual production capacity of 1.7 lakh vehicles, which is planned to increase to 3.2 lakh vehicles by 2030. The facility is also expected to support exports to more than 35 markets.
The expansion strengthens Hyundai’s manufacturing presence in India and creates scope for higher production and exports. The financial impact will depend on demand, capacity utilisation and the pace of investment.
What I’m watching: Production ramp-up, vehicle sales, export volumes and capital expenditure execution.
Stance: Long-term capacity expansion is a positive business development, but returns will depend on demand and execution.
