is becoming an increasingly important supplier of precision components for India’s nuclear and clean-energy ecosystem, with its latest order adding further visibility to the business.
The company recently received a ₹127 crore order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for coolant channel assemblies used in reactor refurbishment. MTAR’s nuclear order book has now crossed ₹775 crore, its highest level so far.
The more interesting part is what sits behind the order. Coolant channel assemblies are highly specialised components used inside nuclear reactors, where precision, reliability and qualification requirements create meaningful entry barriers. MTAR already supplies several critical nuclear components, giving it a position deeper in the value chain than a conventional engineering manufacturer.
The stock is therefore interesting not simply because another order came in, but because nuclear power is creating a longer-duration opportunity for specialised Indian manufacturers. If reactor refurbishment and new nuclear capacity continue to expand, MTAR could see its precision manufacturing capabilities become increasingly valuable.
