Welspun Enterprises: ₹351 Cr Sewer Orders

subsidiary Welspun Michigan Engineers has secured two sewer rehabilitation projects worth ₹351.24 crore from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The two projects involve rehabilitation of existing sewer infrastructure across western and eastern Ahmedabad. The western Ahmedabad project is valued at ₹229.48 crore, while the eastern Ahmedabad project is worth ₹121.76 crore. Both projects are funded by the World Bank and have an execution period of 24 months from commencement. The orders take Welspun Michigan Engineers' order book to approximately ₹2,432.66 crore, compared with around ₹2,135 crore as of June 2026. This gives the subsidiary additional revenue visibility in its water and wastewater infrastructure business. My view is that the order-book addition matters more than the headline ₹351 crore figure by itself. The next question is whether the subsidiary can execute these projects within the planned 24-month period while maintaining its existing margins.
