A recent report by Mr. Scindia reveals that India’s telecom exports saw a remarkable growth of 72%, climbing from Rs. 10,000 crores (US$ 1.10 billion) to rupees. 18,406 crores (US$ 2.03 billion). This significant rise in exports demonstrates the increasing competitiveness of India's telecommunications production and export sector. Elements that led to this rise in exports encompass heightened domestic production, enhanced economies of scale, and better abilities in manufacturing different kinds of telecom equipment and supporting components. India's export results demonstrate the progress made in establishing itself as a reliable provider of telecom products globally. The government's recent announcement illustrates how initiatives aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing and exports have greatly enhanced the telecom sector's export performance. The rising share of telecom sector exports suggests that it is becoming more integrated into global value chains, indicating heightened international demand for telecom products made in India. The growing telecom exports align with the Government's long-term goal of fostering self-sufficient economies and enhancing India's status in international trade. Consequently, robust growth in telecom-related exports clearly signifies that there is considerable potential for the telecom sector to positively influence the overall economy, broaden the manufacturing foundation, and drive export-driven development.
