Bilateral MSME Drive: India-Denmark Tech & IP Partnership
The 4th Meeting of the India-Denmark Joint Working Group (JWG) was held in Copenhagen to deepen bilateral cooperation across MSME development, innovation, and intellectual property (IP). Led by Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner from the Ministry of MSME, the Indian delegation joined counterparts from the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) and the Royal Danish Embassy to address technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, and cluster-based growth. During the visit, the Indian delegation toured Aarhus University's "Kitchen" incubator and the Agro Food Park to gain insights into Denmark's specialized cluster ecosystems, while also meeting with the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs to evaluate SME policy frameworks.
Furthering strategic ecosystem ties, Dr. Rajneesh participated in the Nordic-India Startup Summit 2026 organized by TechBBQ, engaging with key stakeholders across the Nordic startup and venture landscape. Concluding the session, Indian Ambassador to Denmark Manish Prabhat and delegation leaders reviewed joint milestones and outlined future priorities for IP-led MSME growth. The successful JWG mechanism underscores a mutual commitment between India and Denmark to foster cross-border innovation, scale startup hubs, and accelerate technology adoption across small and medium enterprise networks.
