Nifty midcap, Nifty JR analysis for 08/09/2026

Nifty Mid Select (Current: 14,650) Trend Bias: Bearish / Short-term weakness. Current Strategy: Hold short while the index trades below 14,900. Conditional Pivot: 14,900 acts as the critical resistance/trend-reversal threshold. A decisive move and sustainance above this level invalidates the short bias, triggering a conditional shift to create long-only positions. Nifty JR / Next 50 (Current: 72,575) Trend Bias: Bearish / Under pressure. Current Strategy: Hold short as long as prices remain below 74,400. Conditional Pivot: 74,400 serves as the major breakout resistance line. A structural break and trade above 74,400 would flip the market structure, calling for a shift to long-only strategies. Summary: Both indices are currently positioned in a sell-on-rally or short-continuation zone as long as they stay under their respective threshold hurdles (14,900 for Mid Select and 74,400 for Nifty JR). Trend reversal and bullish participation are strictly conditional upon conquering these overhead resistance levels. F&O top looser was :
