Skipper Limited wins ₹797 crore T&D orders
Skipper Limited (NSE: SKIPPER) has secured fresh Power Transmission & Distribution orders worth ₹797 crore across India and international markets.
The wins include export orders in Australia and a domestic 765 kV transmission line project.
Key details
• Export orders include supply of transmission towers and monopoles for Power T&D projects in Australia.
• The domestic order is for a 765 kV transmission line from an Indian developer.
• The company has not disclosed the individual value split between the domestic and international orders.
My view
The ₹797 crore order inflow is meaningful because it combines a high-voltage domestic project with export demand from Australia. This reduces dependence on one geography and gives Skipper exposure to technically demanding transmission projects.
However, order value alone does not determine profitability. Execution timelines, raw-material costs and the margin mix between supply contracts and project execution will decide how much of this order translates into earnings.
What I’m watching next
I will watch the next quarterly update for the execution schedule, international order contribution and whether the company continues to win large 765 kV and export orders.
Stance: Operationally positive. The order improves revenue visibility, but margin execution remains the key factor to track.
Disclosure: I do not have any holding or position in the stock mentioned above.
