Transformers & Rectifiers Q2 profit jumps 118%

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (NSE: TARIL) reported Q2 FY27 revenue of ₹739.44 crore, up 61% YoY. Net profit rose 118% to ₹81.38 crore, while the company’s unexecuted order book reached ₹7,237 crore. Key details • Revenue: ₹739.44 crore, up 61% YoY. • Net profit: ₹81.38 crore, up 118% YoY. • Q2 order inflow: ₹1,169 crore, up 97% YoY. • Unexecuted order book: ₹7,237 crore, up 32% YoY. • Order pipeline under negotiation stands at about ₹21,000 crore. My view The strongest part of the quarter is that profit growth significantly outpaced revenue growth. That suggests better operating leverage alongside higher capacity utilisation. The ₹7,237 crore order book also gives the company solid future revenue visibility. The next test is whether this growth can continue as new manufacturing capacity comes online and whether margins remain healthy as execution scales. What I’m watching next I will watch order inflow, order-book conversion, capacity utilisation and whether profitability remains strong as the Changodar expansion ramps up. Stance: Positive on earnings momentum and order visibility, but execution and margin sustainability remain the key factors. Disclosure: I do not have any holding or position in the stock mentioned above.
