🚢 GRSE Sets Sights on ₹70,000 Cr Navy Project!

Big news from India’s defence shipbuilding space! Kolkata-based PSU Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) is preparing to bid for the Indian Navy’s mega Project 17B — a ₹70,000 crore order for seven advanced stealth frigates. 🇮🇳⚓ 🔹 Project 17B: An upgrade to the Nilgiri-class, these warships will feature next-gen stealth, BrahMos missiles, and cutting-edge electronic warfare systems. 🔹 Competition Heating Up: GRSE and Mazagon Dock are expected to receive the RFP (Request for Proposal) later this year. 🔹 Why It Matters: If secured, the project could give a massive boost to GRSE’s already strong order book of ₹22,680 crore and further its contribution to self-reliant defence manufacturing. 💡 This aligns perfectly with India’s strategic push under ‘Make in India’ and strengthens our naval dominance.
