has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Dasatinib tablets in multiple strengths, a generic version of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Sprycel. The drug is used to treat Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The tablets will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, in India, Zydus has introduced ANVIMO (Letermovir), a drug aimed at preventing Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in patients undergoing bone marrow and kidney transplants. CMV infections pose a major risk to transplant recipients, often leading to graft failure, prolonged hospital stays, and lower survival rates. Until now, CMV prophylaxis relied on costly imported drugs, priced at over Rs 5 lakh per month—placing them out of reach for many patients.
