Exide Industries: Moving Averages Confirm a Recovery Attempt
EXIDEIND
closed at ₹435.80 on 22 September, gaining 0.3%. The stock has recovered from the ₹410 region after correcting from its August high near ₹490.
The indicator structure has improved. Price is above the 20-day moving average at ₹427.36 and the 50-day average at ₹421.52. The 20-day average is also above the 50-day average, which indicates that short-term momentum has turned more constructive. Both averages are now potential support levels rather than immediate resistance.
The next test is the ₹438–₹440 area, which corresponds to the recent recovery high. A sustained close above it could take the stock towards ₹450 and then ₹460. The August peak near ₹490 remains the larger resistance zone.
On the downside, ₹427 is the first support, followed by ₹421. A close below both moving averages would weaken the recovery and bring ₹410 back into focus. For now, the chart shows a developing rebound, with the moving-average crossover supporting the possibility of further recovery.
Exide’s position in automotive and industrial batteries provides a long-term electrification and energy-storage theme, while the immediate technical setup depends on whether price can hold above the ₹421–₹427 moving-average band.
