RVNL bounce needs ₹201 to validate improving momentum

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd closed near ₹199.45 after a small rebound from the recent low zone, but the broader daily trend remains weak. Price is still below the 20-day moving average at ₹200.58 and well under the 55-day average near ₹212.17. This keeps the stock in a lower-high, lower-low structure that has persisted since the sharp decline from the early-2026 highs.

RVNL
The latest move is notable because MACD has improved before price. The MACD line at approximately -4.14 is above the -4.85 signal line, and the histogram has turned positive around 0.71. That is an early bullish crossover, but it is occurring below the zero line, meaning it reflects fading downside momentum rather than a confirmed trend reversal. ₹195–190 is the key support band. A break below ₹190 can extend the decline toward ₹185 or lower. For the bounce to gain credibility, RVNL first needs to reclaim ₹200–201, the 20-day average zone. The more meaningful resistance is ₹212, where the 55-day average sits; closing above it would challenge the existing bearish structure. RVNL’s railway-infrastructure theme can attract sharp momentum moves, but this chart still calls for confirmation. Treat the positive MACD histogram as an alert, then look for price to reclaim ₹201 and build higher lows before assuming the downtrend has turned.
