Tata Steel - The order in which a turn actually happens

TATASTEEL
reported consolidated Q1 FY27 revenue of about Rs 60,794 Cr, up 14.3% YoY, with net profit near Rs 2,318 Cr, up 11.6% YoY but down almost 21% sequentially. India realisation improved to roughly Rs 83,624 a tonne. Conversion cost jumped about 25% QoQ to Rs 39,306 a tonne on higher power and fuel costs. Two things carry this stock. Net debt sits near Rs 84,173 Cr against a board approved Rs 33,873 Cr expansion of Neelachal Ispat to 6.2 MTPA, so the balance sheet is doing heavy lifting. Europe remains the swing factor and management has flagged a tougher regulatory environment in the Netherlands. The chart is mid turn, and the sequence is the lesson. Price at 188.79 has climbed back above the 20 EMA at 186.03. But the 20 EMA is still below the 50 EMA at 188.64, and the 50 EMA is still falling, down about 1.9% over 20 sessions. A turn does not happen all at once. Price reclaims the fast average first. Then the fast average flattens and turns up. Then it crosses the slow one. Then the slow one changes slope. Right now this chart has completed step one of four. RSI at 55.9, up from 40 ten sessions ago, is consistent with an early turn rather than a finished one.
