POWERINDIA
Hitachi Energy India has delivered a very strong Q1 FY27, with revenue rising 68.6% YoY to ₹2,494 crore and PAT jumping 123.5% to ₹294 crore. EBITDA increased about 135% to ₹399 crore, while the operating margin expanded to around 16% from 11.5%, indicating significant improvement in execution and operating efficiency. The biggest positive is the record order backlog of ₹32,222 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming quarters. Q1 order inflows excluding HVDC increased around 26% YoY to ₹5,097 crore, driven by demand for HVDC, grid connections, transformers, power-quality equipment, data centres, industrial projects, renewables and BESS. The company's growth story is closely linked to India's power-transmission and electrification capex, along with rising electricity requirements from AI/data centres, renewable integration, battery storage and industrial electrification. Export orders are also becoming meaningful, accounting for about 33.6% of Q1 orders excluding HVDC, with demand coming from Europe, North America and South Asia.
