When prices consolidate near the top after a strong upward

ULTRACEMCO
When prices consolidate near the top after a strong upward move, it may indicate that bullish momentum is weakening and buyers are struggling to push the price towards new highs. During this phase, the stock moves within a narrow range as buyers and sellers compete for control, while repeated failure to move higher can signal selling pressure near the resistance zone. If the price eventually breaks below the trendline support zone with a strong bearish candle and increasing volume, it indicates that the existing support has failed and sellers may be gaining control of the market. This trendline breakdown can trigger further downside as traders who bought near the top may exit their positions, adding to selling pressure. If the price continues to form lower highs and lower lows after the breakdown, it strengthens the possibility of a bearish trend developing. However, traders should watch for a possible retest of the broken trendline, as the former support may act as resistance before the downtrend continues.
