TATAMOTORS
is separating into two independent companies: one for Commercial Vehicles (trucks, buses etc.) and another for Passenger Vehicles (cars, EVs, Jaguar Land Rover and the rest). This split happens officially on October 1, 2025.
Why They’re Doing This
The idea is to let each part focus on what it does best. Commercial Vehicle (CV) business has different challenges, costs, and growth paths compared to Passenger Vehicles (PV) business.
By splitting, investors will get more clarity. They’ll know exactly how the CV part is doing, and how the PV part is doing, instead of both being mixed up.
The split also helps in decision-making: each business can have strategy, investments, technologies best suited for its market. For example, EVs, luxury cars (JLR) for PV; scale, commercial fleet demand, and maybe global expansion for CV.#WatchOutFor#FundamentalViews#EquityResearch#MacroViews#StockInNews
