received a ₹192 crore order through its US subsidiary, TDPS USA, from a leading multinational corporation for 2-pole generators used in gas turbine applications in the United States. Deliveries are scheduled between August 2027 and January 2028.
**What happened**
The order is important because it marks TD Power's entry into the global 2-pole generator market using its own in-house design. The company had also signed a 10-year build-to-print framework agreement with Siemens Energy in August, although that agreement did not carry a committed order value.
**The numbers**
Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue was ₹640.05 crore, up 72.1% year on year. EBITDA rose 71.9% to ₹121.68 crore, while profit after tax increased 72.3% to ₹86.29 crore. Q1 order inflow was ₹734.1 crore and the order book stood at about ₹2,207 crore.
**My view**
The order strengthens the growth story, but valuation is the key risk. The stock closed at ₹792.15 on October 1, close to its 52-week high of ₹817.55. The company is already discounting strong growth, so future orders need to translate into revenue and margins rather than just headline order-book growth.
**What I am watching**
Execution of the existing order book, additional 2-pole generator orders, export growth and Q2 FY27 margins.
**Stance:** Positive on business momentum, but cautious on chasing the stock near its 52-week high.
