Citius TransNet Investment Trust IPO

Citius TransNet Investment Trust (CTInvITs) is entering the market with a Rs 1,105 crore IPO, priced between Rs 99 and Rs 100 per unit. Backed by the EAAA platform, this transport-focused trust manages a substantial portfolio of 10 toll and annuity road projects spanning over 3,406 lane-kilometers. While the trust boasts strong operational EBITDA margins—reaching 72.78% in 9M-FY26—the financial picture is troubling. It has reported consistent net losses for years, resulting in a negative net worth and negative EPS. Coupled with a significant net debt of Rs 4,247 crore, the financial health is precarious despite promising cash flow estimates for the coming years. Investors should view this as a high-risk proposition; the reliance on complex accounting, heavy debt, and past performance makes this debut look like a challenging bet. While the underlying assets are operational, the balance sheet suggests that only investors with a high appetite for risk and patience for a long-term turnaround should consider this.
