COALINDIA

Coal India is often the forgotten giant, but it’s currently a "top pick" for a reason. If El Niño causes a water shortage, hydroelectric power fails, forcing the country to rely entirely on coal. Coal India and NLC India (referred to as the Lignite play) are the backbones of India's energy security. They are considered "hiding pockets"—safe havens where investors can park money while other sectors face volatility. My take: The news is exceptionally good for these companies. As long as there is an energy crunch, Coal India will remain a cash-generating machine. It’s a classic value play that most of the market is currently neglecting. Coal india is good but, renewable power companies are competing against coal india. so my bet goes to renewable sectory companies like, NTPC GREEN.
