Safety Controls & Devices IPO

Safety Controls & Devices, an EPC contractor based in Lucknow, has significantly diversified its operations. Initially focused on firefighting systems, it has successfully transitioned into large-scale infrastructure projects, including the design, engineering, and commissioning of transmission substations (like the 400 KV Substation at Allahabad) and now expands into solar power plants and hospital construction for the Ministry of Ayush. The company primarily serves government entities, indicating a stable client base. However, recent financial performance raises questions. While FY25 showed robust growth in both top and bottom lines, the surge in FY24 net profit on lower revenue, followed by a declining top line in 10M FY26, warrants investor caution regarding sustainability. With an IPO priced at Rs. 75-80 per share, aiming to raise Rs. 48 crore for working capital and debt repayment, the valuation appears full based on current earnings (P/E of 15.50 on annualized FY26). The comparison with listed peers also seems inadequate. Given the competitive landscape and these financial inconsistencies, only risk-seeking, well-informed investors might consider parking moderate funds for the medium term.
